Dear Great Olive,
It's been a decade since you passed West. I remember how important family was to you and how consistently you showed your love.

In that decade I have finished secondary school and my BA. This year I will be studying to become a teacher. Evan is about to start a degree in Commerce/Science. Evelyn is only a few years away from starting secondary school. Eugene was born and is part way through primary school.

I rember being told by other family members how you loved to travel. I am leaving to go to Japan for three weeks for travel and study. I ask that you come with me and protect me on the journey. Also I negotiated for this trip with Barrie and Glenys. They paid for it, so this oportunity for me comes through the family financial stability which was one of your achievements in life.
